Dr.S.Selvakumar Raja received his B.E. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from A.C.College of Engineering and Technology, Madurai Kamaraj University during 1989, M.E. degree in Applied Electronics from Government College of Technology, Bharathiar University during 1991 and Ph.D in Information and Communication Engg, Anna University, Chennai in 2011.
He has got 27 years of teaching and research experiences in reputed engineering colleges. He worked as Professor in ECE Department of University of Gondar, Ethiopia. At present, he is working as Principal, Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science for Women (KITSW), Nizamabad. His current research interests are in pattern recognition, image & signal processing and Wireless Communications.
He is Life member of Indian Society of Technical Education (ISTE) and approved Ph.D Supervisor for Anna University, Chennai. Under his guidance, 2 Ph.D scholars have successfully completed their degree and he is now guiding 6 Ph.D scholars in Sathyabama University, Chennai. He is a Board Of Study(BOS) member for ECE Syllabus & Curriculum. He is advisory committee member of many of the leading International and National conferences. He has published 25 research papers in leading International and National Journals and more than 15 research papers in leading International and National Conferences.
Principal Message
Education of the highest order aims at Training, Guiding, Inspiring, Motivating and Leading young men and women in the ever expanding horizon of insatiable Thirst for Knowledge coupled with the hankering after the ever so near yet ever so far wisdom and enlightenment.
Preparing 'world ready', 'market ready' and at conscionable, sensible, morally correct, ethically groomed Candidates is by no means a small endeavor. The daunting task of inspiring young minds, setting their hearts on fire with initial inertia, giving them the sense of direction and purpose, something to live up and live for, giving them the power to act/delegates as agents of change and instruments of progress, is the meaning of the higher education."
I keep telling all my students and fellow colleagues that “what you are now is not good enough to keep you there hence keep updating your knowledge”& “Do engineering more than only read engineering”
Last but not the least we aim at generating more successful engineer’s as job creators beside job seekers.
